The insurgents launched rocket propelled gernades and machine gun fire into the iraqi police station compound. One of the machine gun bullets grazed SPC Sanchez's neck coming close to the artery in his neck. SPC Sanchez was given medical treatment while the attack continued. SPC Sanchez made a full recovery and went on missions the very next day.
