SGT Goff was serving as a gunner patroling the streets of Adamiya. While patroling looking for a insurgent that had launched a mortar minutes prior and IED hidden on the side of the road detonated sending metal fragments towards SGT Goff's face. Some of the metal went into his mouth area shattering one of his teeth. SGT Goff was given medical aid before the situation got worse.
